Craig Barrett is an Australian artist based in Central Victoria.
Barrett has a career in the visual arts spanning four decades. Throughout this period Barrett has employed a diverse range of media including painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, tapestry design and photography. He has embraced both gallery format exhibitions and non gallery installation works, his themes range from industrial and mythological to his current interest in rural issues and changing landscapes.
Barrett’s works are represented in private, corporate and public collections – including a major opus “EVERYMAN”, an installation based on the works of First World War poets, now in the collection of the Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne. His drawings are represented in the National Gallery of Victoria as part of the Ian Brown Collection of works on paper.
